This is one of the sunflowers that I spotted on the road side. There was a little farm on the way back from the tide pools, selling flowers and pumpkins. It was closed but I had to stop and take some pics of the sunflower s anyway.

I Love October

I love October. I love everything about October, not the least of which , its because my birthday is in October. But that's not the only reason.
The weather is just absolutely perfect . There is no morning marine layer of fog, so the sun is bright and crisp as soon as the day begins. You don't have to wait for the fog to lift and the warm sun to break through.
Also its the best temperature. Perfect. Just the right amount of warm for the whole day and just the right amount of crisp evening so you get to break out the perfect favorite sweaters and boots. The perfect sunsets too.
And I cant forget to mention the absolutely perfect explosion of colour all around. The leaves are lined up to out do the next one. There are the last of the summer roses and the first of the fall mums , the last of the sunflowers, the show of the pumpkins and gourds.
Really I could go on and on.
To top it off is the last days of the Halloween celebration in which every one even those among us who have forgotten that we are now grown ups, paint up costume up, and revel in the perfect excuse to play play play.

I think its incredible how much alike these guys look... or not. The one in the hat is my father. The one in the white sweater is Jean-Pierre at 4. Then there is Jean-Pierre and His daughter.

Maybe its just me, but its really close...and sweet.

The Funy face girl is two years old. I love her sense of humour. and The adorable funy faces> Thisyear she is really into the Part idea and the sweets that come with. Her favorite color at the moment is pink so i attempted a pink cake in the shape of a princess castle.
The picnic in the park was sweet. A few extended cusins and some extra Grandmas. Also a jump house. What more can you ask at two.
